Heavy Eyes & Tethered Ties

I'm weary of strangers and smiles and you
I'm hard to break open yet openly true
I'm the grass you've trampled and the daisy that rises
I'm a gleam of moonlight, with many disguises

I'm quick to be hateful
I'm slow to forgive
I'm annoyed with your ignorance,
of the way that I live

I'm a contradiction, stereotypically so
I'm charmed to meet you, now please will you go
Go to the ends but please keep in mind
I'm going to call you when time should rewind
I'm going to miss you, I'm going along
I'm falling, I'm fighting, I knew I was wrong.

I'm weary of strangers and smiles and you
I'm hard to break open, my shell is like new
I'm the grass you've trampled and the daisy that rises
I'm a burst of sunlight, with many disguises.
